Powerfields Electric Rope

Powerfields Hot Rope provides a strong, durable and highly
visible electric barrier that will stand up to the toughest
livestock and wildlife. Very affordable for perimeter
fencing on large properties Hot Rope is easy to install and
maintain ensuring many years of trouble free protection.
Hot Rope is made of 3 tightly twisted, 40 strand groups,
of .38mm UV stabilized polyethylene monofilament, a total of
120, and 6 strands of .30mm 304 stainless steel wire. Hot
Rope hardware is as tough as the rope itself and all carry a
full 5 year replacement warranty. Hot Rope is an excellent
product for hot/ground systems on properties with poor
conductivity or areas with heavy snow.
Hot Rope is most often used for perimeter
fencing on large properties or for hard to keep animals. Hot
Rope is much stronger than the tapes at 1000 break strength
but due to this increased Hot Rope and twisted configuration
its safety with horses is questionable. Horses that get
entangled in the rope, especially young ones, can easily
experience cuts and burns that would not commonly occur with
tape. It is an economical high strength option but should be
used with caution for horse containment and is not intended
for small paddocks or runs.
