Horse Stable Installation

For the best control we recommend placing one (1) spray nozzle assembly in the center of each 10' x 10' to 12' x 12' stall and one (1) spray nozzle assembly near each aisle way door.

Nozzle assemblies are not needed in feed areas, wash areas or tack rooms - excellent control is accomplished by installing nozzle assemblies in areas that house horses only.

Nozzle assemblies down the aisle way area are not needed but can be added per customer request.

Dairy & Cattle Barn Installation

Holding areas and loafing sheds provide a good area for installation. Controlling insects in these areas provides a more comfortable atmosphere for livestock. Comfort often leads to increased production and higher yields.

One (1) spray nozzle assembly per 100 square feet with-in the interior of a shed or barn and one (1) spray nozzle assembly every 10 feet over any open side walls.

Automist Nozzles and Fittings

Nickel plated nozzles and fittings offer superior protection from corrosion. Simple, quick and easy are a few words that describe our nozzle assemblies and fittings. Inter-changeable fittings can be used on either of our nozzles - straight or 45 degree.

Tee nozzle assembles work well in most areas. This is the most common choice for livestock applications, one tee nozzles per 12' x 12' stall or area.

Elbow nozzle assemblies are used at the end of a tubing run. This nozzle is used on the end so that a air bleeder valve is not necessary.

Straight nozzle assemblies are used in areas where a loop of tubing may not be needed or available. Branching off of a main feed line to supply a straight nozzle offers the flexibility to reach areas that might be out of the way.

The fitting release tool makes changing fittings and nozzles in the field a snap. If a nozzle becomes plugged over time simply pop the adapter and nozzle out and pop a new one in. Simple as that.


Liquid Level Control

We protect our pumps by using a liquid level control. This control senses when the liquid is low and disables the pump. Once the system is filled the control senses it and enables the pump to be operable once again.

	Automist is available in: 55 Gallon System with 1/3 hp motor for up to 80 nozzles. 30 Gallon System with 1/3 hp motor for up to 25 nozzles. All Automist & Minimist systems include a 5 day battery backup timer.
	Automist timers are very user friendly. They combine the ultimate in reliability and ease of use. The gasketed enclosure door keeps dust and dirt out.
	Automist nozzle assemblies provide accurate delivery of insecticide. Every nozzle has a built-in check-valve that closes at 60 psi to eliminate dripping. Our nickel plated nozzle assemblies come standard with 1/4" Quick-Fit fittings, as shown to the left.
	Automist uses stainless steel vane pumps coupled to 1/2 hp equivalent motors. This compact package offers accurate high pressure delivery as well as quiet, reliable service.
	The Automist float assembly consists of a switch inside the barrel to provide accurate low liquid level sensing. This float shuts the system down when the reservoir is low - to protect the pump. A 100 mesh suction filter is standard on all systems.
	A wide assortment of fittings available to complete your installation.

Automist systems include stainless steel pump, brass pressure fittings, 55 or 30 gallon poly reservoir, 1/3 hp  electric motor, and electric timer. Heavy duty clear or black nylon tubing and stainless steel nozzles for accurate delivery of insecticide are available separately as needed. A durable weather cover also comes standard with each system. This cover provides protection in outdoor areas or from dust indoors.

Better Choices for Insect Control

There are many insect control products to choose from on the market today. Our experience has brought us to believe that pyrethrin and permethrin water based insecticides offer the best all around performance for the control of spiders, flies, mosquitoes and other biting and no-see-um insects.

Many key factors can play a part in the effectiveness of an insecticide used in automatic systems. One such factor is PBO or Pieronyl Butoxide. PBO is what is commonly referred to as a synergist. Synergists can be mixed with synthetic insecticides and are often found fomulated with Pyrethrins. PBO helps overcome resistance that pests develop with constant use of insecticides.
