rider in aligning the horse’s body and balancing the shoulder. Offers a firm yet
un-intimidating rate. The small gag and independent
motion in the shanks makes this bit an excellent transition from the ring
snaffle and a nice bit to ride in the pasture or trail. Should be neutrally
adjusted to meet the corners of the horse’s mouth with two fingers between the
curb and chin.

Lifter Bit9” CHEEKS 5" MOUTHDesigned primarily for horses that have a tendency to drop their shoulder in
turns. The longer shank and mouthpiece port offers the rider leverage in helping
to elevate the shoulder and maintain a balanced position in the horse’s body.
Because it’s a correction bit, it should be used on a horse that is well into
the shank bridle. The mouthpiece should be adjusted where it meets the corners
of the horses mouth and creates a slight wrinkle. Two fingers should be between
the chin and curb strap.

control on some horses than the three-piece snaffle. The limited gag makes the
chain touch less aggressive than the fixed chain mouthpieces. Adjust the
headstall to one wrinkle and use less curb pressure so the chain touch can
effectively work off the corners of the horse’s lip, tongue, and bars. Curb
pressure compliments after the other three points have occurred.

Bumper Bit
