Denier Ratings:
A fabrics
Denier rating relates to the weight and
tightness of the weave of the yarn in the
fabric. The higher the denier, the heavier,
tougher, and more water proof the fabric. So
choose blankets with high denier rating
where you expect use in wet conditions and lots
of wear and tear. Select lower denier ratings
where water resistance and wear is likely to be
less.
In General,
denier ratings:
up to 420 are considered "weather
resistant"
600 - 800 are considered "water resistant"
Over 800 are considered "waterproof" |
Rip-Stop:
A number of styles
in our range include a ripstop weave that helps
contain any rips or tears in the unlikely event
this happens. Ripstop features hundreds of small
squares which give the fabric its distinctive
checkerboard look. In the event of a rip, the
fabric structure will contain it and reduce it
from spreading along the length of the fabric.
However ripstop does not guarantee that the
fabric will not rip at all. Please note:
Reinforced yarns are not indestructible, and
will give way if your horse is at any risk of
becoming trapped. |

ripstop material Action shoulder gussets provide freedom of movement.
Multi-purpose design can be used as a rain sheet, a windbreaker or a summer sheet.
Lining features cleanout holes for removing hair and dirt. Double buckle closures
for easy on and off. Tail flap provides added coverage and protection. Rubber
grommets on surcingles provide more secure closure. Bias surcingles and
replaceable elastic leg straps for a perfect fit.

Features include
gusseted shoulders, bias surcingles, elastic leg straps and a tailpiece. The
outer shell is a 1,200-denier polyester rip-stop fabric that can take an
incredible amount of abuse while the satin smooth lining polishes the horse's
coat. A waterproof/breathable membrane bars water penetration yet allows water
vapor from perspiration to pass through to the outside. The horse stays warm,
dry, and comfortable.

How to Measure your
Horse for a Blanket
Measure the horse from the center
of the chest to the center of the butt, between the legs at the widest point of
the shoulder and upper leg.
NOTE: If you do not
measure your horse, the blanket will not fit properly. If you return the
blanket for improper fit, we will exchange it for the correct size, but we will
not refund your purchase price or shipping costs. You will also be
responsible for all shipping costs on the return and exchange blanket - so
please measure your horse and save yourself time and
money!
