Abetta Low Port Bits

The low port mouthpiece is a good tool for all around riding. It features a port that has some tongue relief with no palate contact. The low port bit works well on horses that are well trained or horses that cannot tolerate palate pressure.

Cavalry Shank Bit

The low port mouth is a popular all around bit that has great application from the ranch to the show pen. The port base allows some tongue relief with little or no palate contact. The shanks are turned back to increase signal and allow a horse to graze. The mouthpiece is narrow for smaller mouths.

Curb Bit

This grazing port mouth is a low-leverage tool that spreads pressure evenly over the bars and tongue. The shanks are slightly curved back and a little more forgiving but still demand a quick response.

The low port mouth is a popular all around bit that has great application from the ranch to the show pen. The port base allows some tongue relief with little or no palate contact. The low leverage shanks are turned back to increase signal with less weight. The rein loops are large for lighter contact. Hand engraved brass overlay adds a professional look.
