The NSBA Shank

The NSBA Shank follows the same basic design as the legendary Loomis shank. Shortened by one inch, 8" to 7", it conforms to the stringent regulations of the National Snaffle Bit Association--the governing body for the pleasure horse industry. NSBA bits have both dees and shanks for use with bridle reins, snaffle reins. draw reins or any combination. Standard 5" wide mouthpieces have inlaid copper bars to promote moisture.

NSBA Billy Allen - Stainless Steel

The Billy Allen mouth is named for the legendary Kansas horseman. The roller covers the snaffle joint and stiffens the mouthpiece while still allowing some flexibility. It also acts as a pacifier for an anxious colt. Stainless steel will resist rust and clean easily.
